StoryServer implements Power-Tools to enhance customers productivity and bring familiar features our customers have known and love.

Other Power Tools: Show Tray, Registry-Free and Automatic USB Mode.

Power Tools — Tray, Keys Lock and External Graphics

In StoryServer, in the Tools menu, Option is implemented as a Windowless Panel, that, if you take your mouse-focus or cursor-focus off the Window, it auto-saves and auto-closes itself.

The ability to start StoryServer minimized in the Windows Tray Area can be controlled via the ‘Start Minimized’ checkbox. The other features ‘Minimize to Tray’, ‘Close to Tray’ are self-explanatory.

These Power-tools are now built into Story-Server -

  1. Customers who are using laptop and annoyed at randomly - having Caps-lock, Num-lock key set, have used scripts to reset the Caps-lock and Num-lock key. This is built-into StoryServer, so laptop users, on starting Story-Server can have this key programmatically unset, without having to deal with additional scripts or paid Add-ons.
  2. Customers who wish to modify the Icon-tile set of StoryServer (and use their own Icon-sets for Launcher) can do so via ‘External Graphics’ checkbox.

The icon tile-set uses traditional Windows-style icon-set, with Fuchsia color background.

StoryServer BMP File-set

If you, the reader opens an icon tile-set file, for example — gfx_file.bmp, you will see icon tile-set.

gfx_file.bmp in Affinity Designer, Pixel Mode.

Modifying the graphics, such as adding small smiley-face to the File-New (top-left) image will result in the new custom-image loaded on App. Restart.

Distraction-Free

Customers have expressed a consideration for distraction-free writing. To achieve this effect - Main-Menu, Toolbar, Status Bar,can be hidden. Folder-window can be hidden in View|Folder-Windows. Full-screen mode can be used.

StoryServer, without toolbar and status-bar.

If the Main-menu is hidden, you can enable it via Tray-Icon menu, or right-click on the Folder-Menu.
