I am incredibly excited for 2016

I hope everyone had a great holiday. For two whole weeks I ate like never before I also spent NYE in San Francisco for the first time, so that was fun. Now it’s time to get back to the hustle and destroy 2016.

For the past three days I’ve been going over everything that happened in 2015 and I can see I am truly blessed to be alive. I still remember celebrating a new millennium, 16 years have rapidly gone by. And all we are left with is less winters to celebrate…scary!

I believe in 2015 many ideas were seeded, in 2016 many of these ideas will start to root and within the next 5 to 10 years this world will be faced with more disruption than anyone can imagine. I truly see a world without a government, or at least a decentralized world — whatever that means.

Sure, more than 4 billion people have no idea what the internet is, but with Facebook and Google launching air balloons for wifi transmission, there’s no doubt everyone will be empowered by a smartphone within upcoming years.

We do live in a shitty world— wars and crap media — but do some research and you’ll see how much we are actually improving.

“Entrepreneurship is the key to a better world”

I am amazed of the technology arising from Silicon Valley and parts around the world — Mexico, Israel, Colombia, China, India, to name a few.

Can we eliminate poverty?

Can we change local and foreign policies to improve communities?

Can we empower citizens?

Can we provide quality education for everyone?

The answer to these questions and similar ones is YES! Technology can’t do it alone though. You and me need to continue leading our communities into the unknown, it is the only way to make an impact.

I am awed of the amount of companies and projects flourishing. Artificial intelligence, space travel, virtual reality, augmented reality, fintech, machine learning, decentralization, IoT, I mean the list goes on.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I am happy to be alive and that I can’t wait to compare 2016 with 2020 or 2025.
