Don’t let anyone define you in ANY way

There isn't a day that goes by without someone commenting on your clothes or the way you dress or the way you look..be it either in college. .or on streets or on social media...

Starting from the morning in the newspaper... The matrimonial ads be like... a search for a young, tall , beautiful, virile(and so and so )woman for a man of so and so age and profession...
Or for an instance take a magazine.. You'll see a model with the most exposing clothes and a good looking guy portrayed along with her...
Not only that....the other day I saw this model posing with dumbbells for a fitness page on Facebook..
It’s ridiculous really, that women are automatically slotted into roles like Disney characters –either you’re this silly princess wearing tight clothes and heels, or a sexy model in some advertisement or a hot actress doing some item song.. Either of them is your lot...

I wonder if at all people ever look at posters of male models in suits and say, “Oh look at him there, trading on his masculinity "

Society does teach girls to hate their bodies. We teach it in the magazines, on TV , on the internet.
We place the value on her figure rather than on her brain or her personality.
Little girls pick up on this at an early age and decide that they are not “okay” in the way they are.
I've seen girls having dieting obsessions with the desire to change what they look like ... Going to gyms rather than cultivating a hobby or some activity...
Why so??
Just cause society directly or indirectly approves the existence of some better looking actress or anyone with slim and perfect body.

Being beautiful had become less of a right, and has become more of an obligation.
Beauty has become a necessity in the road to becoming the perfect woman, and "…that a woman's appearance remains the most important criterion by which her femininity, and even her right to be considered a normal and acceptable human being are judged".

Someday I hope that we teach little girls to value themselves on their brains and personalities over the shape of their bodies. I believe in teaching healthy living and fitness, but not placing one’s worth on it.

All the girls out there need to learn to care about themselves and not what society approves them or portrays them to be..and not allow them to make you upset with their stupid judgemental comments.
