A foldable smartphone is a smartphone with a special display that can be folded in half, much like a sheet of paper. A phone combines the portability of a regular phone with the advantages of unfolding inner displays that rival tablets for screen real estate. Some variants of the concept use multiple touchscreen panels on a hinge, while other designs utilize a flexible display. As foldable phones emerge in the 2020s, they function as both phones and tablets. These devices allow for a much larger screen while folding into a more compact form.
The foldable Smartphone is a new and innovative technology that allows for expanded screen sizes without sacrificing the portability of smaller phones. Owing to their expanding nature, foldable smartphones can be used as a phone, tablets, and even a PC.
Several market players have been setting the trend of this foldable smartphone technology by launching newer products in the market. For example, in August 2021, Samsung launched its Galaxy Z Fold3 5G smartphone in Italy. A smartphone comes with a 7.6-inch (FHD+) Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2208 x 1768 Pixels. Moreover, the phone comes with a Dual SIM card that accepts Nano-SIM and e-SIM.
