Patient Positioning Devices can vary depending on the procedure and anesthesia administered. Optimal positioning ensures access to the surgical site, prevents pressure ulcers, and maintains body alignment. In addition to minimizing pressure ulcers and nerve damage, a patient’s position is vital for avoiding surgical complications. These devices can be used during a surgery to ensure the patient’s physiologic safety.
