The armored Avenger- Iron Man

It’s the birthday of our favorite actor Robert Downey Jr. and one of his most famous role is in the Marvel Studios Movie, The Avengers and Iron Man as the lead and he gave the character a new life and made Iron Man as one of the major and well-known Marvel Character. Iron Man appeared in comics in 1963 and continued to rise in popularity but due to lack of Cinematic as well as promotion sources for non-comic book fans it didn’t become popular in widespread audience but in the comic continuity he gained his own respect and became one of the most powerful as well as intelligent avenger, he started to grow among some of non-comic fans but due to no electronic media source, its growth was slow.

The character of Iron Man was depicted as an arrogant, wealthy and playboy man named as Anthony Edward Stark who was the adoptive son of famous weapon designer, industrialist and inventor Howard Stark and his wife Maria Stark and was born on Long Island. Anthony or Tony as he liked to be called brought some breakthrough technologies in the weapon industry with his intelligence until he met an accident and was trapped by Wong-Chu who ordered him to build a weapon but due to the accident Tony have shrapnel moving towards his heart, so another prisoner physicist Ho Yinsen, a noble-prize winner constructed a magnetic metal plate to keep the shrapnel out of Tony’s Heart, Tony instead of creating a weapon creates a suit of powered armor to escape his imprisonment but Ho Yinsen dies trying to distract the enemy. Stark return home as a changed man and makes new suits and becomes Iron Man — the armored avenger and firstly masquerades Iron Man as his bodyguard and corporate mascot but eventually reveals his identity. Stark uses his intelligence to create more armor and weapons for S.H.I.E.L.D., quintjets for avengers and image inducers for X-men. Tony is also part of the group called Illuminati which is the group of most intelligent people which includes Black Bolt, the king of Inhumans; Reed Richards or Mr. Fantastic, the leader of Fantastic Four and a rubber-man; Dr. Strange, the sorcerer supreme as its prime members.

That’s many things about the character now let’s start how it became popular, MCU or Marvel Cinematic Universe kicked-off with the first movie Iron Man and started the introduction of Iron Man as one of the major heroes of MCU and he continued to Avengers and Iron Man 3 and its trend is still continuing, and the one who made him possible was no one other than Robert Downey Jr. and he still continues and will appear next on Captain America Civil War and in it he will have a pivotal role.
