Ares with literally means battle is renowned as the god of war in Ancient Greece. He is the greatest warrior of the gods who is employed during the perils of war and is one of the Twelve Olympians, who are the council which rules Olympus, he is said to be the first son of Zeus and Hera. The Greeks people or the Greek folks were having conflicting views in the case of Ares: while he symbolizes the physical aspect of valor which is one of the main reasons for successes in war, he was considered as one of the most dangerous force, as his personality is defined as “destructive, overwhelming, man-slaughtering and insatiable in battle,.” His sons were named Phobos which means “Fear” and Deimos meaning “Terror” and his sister or lover, this os not sure, she was named Enyo which have literal meaning as Discord, she was his companion and she was with him on his war chariot. According to the Iliad, Zeus, his father tells him that Ares is the most hateful god to him. If any human is said to associate with Ares then his presence only supply many objects and places near him with a dangerous, savage or militarized quality. He is also remembered as the lover of the goddess of love, Aphrodite who despite being married to the god of fire and craftsmanship, Hephaestus. Generally with Aphrodite he is shown as very protective and possessive lover as he doesn’t show mercy top anyone and is said to show some amount of mercy to some of the greek heroes or precisely to many of his half-brothers (demigod sons of Zeus) and cousins (demigod children of other Gods, like Poseidon, Hades). He is said to be possessive but not to a very high level, so one can consider him as one of the most ideal boyfriend due to his nature of being protective and merciful in front of his lover. His twin sons Phobos and Deimos are also said to be one of the results of the flings between him and Aphrodite.
