One day we’ll look back on deadlines being a normality in software with the same perplexed disdain that we have for smoking.

In a way, agile was devised to shift the stakeholder’s mindset away from deadlines to sprint builds, and the customer could merely choose to release whichever build that seemed to meet their “changing” desire.

That was before agile was hijacked by deadline oriented corporates, and is now just as despised by devs because it’s morphed into a monster…and here we are.
