It’s That Time Of The Day
It’s that time of the day, when you once again peep out of the window to see if the time has come to head home, to feel fulfilled for the day, for the cup of Chai(Tea)/Coffee you want to have with your favorite person, to track your progress of the day and to bid goodbyes to your co-workers. What am I talking about? It’s dusk! come on, let’s go home! A sunset never fails to bring a smile to my face and I hope on your face too.
Are you a morning person or a night person? Well, doesn’t matter because the sun is never partial in offering warmth to people that admire it, be it at dusk or dawn. Dusk comes to bring us moonlight, to the time of reflection upon the day passed and awaiting day to be renewed by the light of the sun. Have you ever gone on the terrace of your building and gazed at the sky? It looks like a painting that is painted with the most beautiful colors of life, that nobody owns except the mighty creator of this universe who also paints this majestic sky.
After being on the electronic gadgets, straining your veins, and going tooth & nail for the whole day, when you look at the sunset, the merging rays of the sun heal your eyes and indicate that night is going to be merciful. It tells us to be grateful for all the good things that happened during the day and to give ourselves another chance to work on ourselves and improve.
It symbolizes compassion and relentlessness. The sky changes from minute to minute. From bright orange to hot pink, the clouds are painted in ever-changing colors as the sun sets. The gold rays are already touching the surface of the ocean.
Research shows that sunsets have many psychological effects that enhance the long-lasting satisfaction of life and physical benefits and have been proven to relieve stress. So next time you’re having a rough day, drive to your favorite spot and watch your worries fade away. It gives you a reason to go outside. It represents the end of a journey and to let go and be easy on ourselves.
As I write this, I feel my eyes healing, and watching the magnificent sunset. I hope you imagine and feel this sunset too. So, peep outside the window of your office/room/classroom and run to the terrace of your building, close your eyes, feel the warmth of the sun touching your skin, listen to the birds chirping, and feel the cold breeze. Bid goodbye to your friend with a happy heart and smiling face because after all, we’re all just walking each other home.
The slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky. The sky was ablaze with the fire of the setting sun. The night sky was aglow with bright city lights. The pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in the night sky.
Lastly, It’s that time of the day which comes everyday so if you miss it today, you have a chance to view it again!
The first glad breath of day is dear;
The sky is very soft and near;
The noon is glorious with light;
And afternoon is bright;
But I love twilight best, it seems,
When all the air is drenched with dreams,
And up against the sunset bar,
One small dream changes to a star.
