I know there have been zillions of responses but this article so resonates with me I have to put in my tuppence worth. The blame culture on the UK is just as bad. When it comes to crime someone apart from the perpetrator themselves HAS to be responsible. Often it’s a poor overworked stressed out social worker or a parent. One incident has stuck in my minds for years. You may have heard of Madeleine McCann? A little girl who went missing from a holiday apartment in Portugal while her parents were having dinner just a few yards away. I couldn’t believe my ears when a man in our village expressed the view that they DESERVED to lose their child. Maybe it wasn’t the best parenting decision of their lives but deserved? Really! The poor McCanns suffered unspeakable abuse like this on the Internet. When did we get so holier than thou?
