Envy, I feel, is roughly the same thing and is approached in the same way.
Useless Polyam Advice: Jealousy vs. Fear
Lola Phoenix

One difference in the way I interpret these two words is an idea of exclusion that I associate with jealousy? Envy is when I see something and I want it for myself, but jealousy is the same plus not wanting others to have it?

I’ve found this distinction helpful when trying to unpack my feelings, where a case of jealousy might get me thinking about a possible rule for the thing, envy would have me arrange for me to get the thing instead?

For your (very good!) article, I don’t think the difference matters, but seeing the heading of that section, I thought it’d be explored a bit, rather than just “roughly the same thing”.

Thanks for those articles!
