PPI uses a mix of both conventional and CNC turning machines. It is thereby able to handle order sizes that range from a single part to a production size of thousands of parts as required. The company has a maximum machine capacity of 20” diameter and up to 37” between centers on its CNC lathes while its conventional lathes have much larger capacities. The CNC lathes are able to hold tolerances down to +/- 0.0003”.
