What is Facebook Messenger?

Messages are moving out of the Facebook mobile website and over to the Messenger app, so we’re asking people to install the Messenger app and start sending messages from there instead.

By installing the Messenger app, the people you want to reach will respond faster on average, and you’ll get faster access to these features:

Reach friends wherever they are now

  • Text, voice or video call your friends for free using your existing data plan.
  • Reach friends on their phones and the web, so they never miss your messages.
  • Know who’s seen your message, and who hasn’t.

Message friends or start a group conversation

  • Share photos, videos, stickers, gifs and more.
  • Include friends of friends in conversations.
  • View your most important group conversations in one place.

Get right to your messages

  • Access your messages and conversations when you open the app.
  • Get free push notifications on your phone or tablet, so you see each message when it arrives.
  • Quickly switch between multiple conversations with in-app notifications.

After you install Messenger, all your messages and contacts will be waiting for you in the app. You can also still see your messages on the Facebook website. Open a web browser from your computer or phone and go to www.facebook.com.

Why I redesigned the Messenger? and what is wrong in the old UI?

Hello Guys, am sharing my view for redesigning the Facebook Messenger.

As we all know that Facebook has bought the WhatsApp, I would wish to have both interface with the same minimal UI.

Though both were be in different platform, I would try to be unique.

Below I have attached the screens.
