Instant gratification is ruining the education and many others

I’ve came up with a common theme for most of the college friends that I have…. They’re drinking out of stream of bullshit.

Literally, if I knew at a early age about how High School & College was a big bag of shit and the Online Education was an option, I would’ve been long gone.

Honestly, I only remember a few of my High School teachers that somehow made an impact on me, tickling my brain with the style they teach. I was still in the shitty environment but they were actually trying to give something to us and not give you a pop quiz for the main quiz that leads up to the test.

At least 80% of my college friends are dull. Just kind of sad to see, trapped in the world where they only look for corporate jobs, drink for the weekends, get away from the drama etc.

Sounds like fun huh? Oh by the way! You got a nice bag of tuition to pay monthly. FUN LIFE! Please enjoy.

“Well, I’m not sure what I want to do but I’ll just pile up more tuition”

Now this is not the case for a small group of people, that actually go to school and do something great in life! KUDOS TO YOU! This is the general education system, where you’re sat in a classroom and main focus is to get good grades and do whole bunch of useless shit.

“Priority in school is to get good grades then learn second”

Yes, been there done that! Why do you people look at you weird, when you shy away from the regular 9–5 ? Because it’s what they were thought to be in school.

“Oh you’re starting a business? Isn’t that risky”

So is fucking eating shitty food daily, raising your cholesterol, and developing beautifully “treated” diseases.

I decided to take an Immersive UX-Design course at General Assembly which is one of the most fastest growing educational frameworks for Data, Design, Developers, and whatever else they have in the back of their minds.

What did I get from it ?

I LEARNED HOW TO THINK! I was not evaluated by A’s and B’s, I had to work on projects, develop ideas around it, sometimes being stuck in one problem for a week. It was like a roll-coaster, you brought your emotions into it, going home thinking about it, establishing different themes, conclusions. Just never ending design thinking.

Finishing the course changed me for ever! Imagine a thought or idea that replicates a tooth pick. OK? Now Imagine you have the tools to split that toothpick into 100 more pieces! Isn’t that remarkable?

At the end of the day, educational system is failing in many different ways. We take comfort instead of risk, instant gratification instead of patience. It’s simple to figure why you won’t start a business.

You loved getting good grades at the end of your weekly quiz which snuck into your real word job of getting paid weekly. You wont take a risk to live a minimalistic lifestyle because you’ve been thought to go for instant instead patience.

Good day HUMAN!

Thanks,
