From AdTech to FinTech. How Safe-Investing Was Created
As a CEO Safe-Investing, I want to tell people the story of the project. It is my 3rd business project, and I believe it’s the most promising and low-risk than any of my previous projects.
As a serial entrepreneur, I always wanted to create a stable income for my family in the long term.
In the beginning, me and my partner Mike Raitsyn launched Miralab digital agency focusing on web design, SEO and digital ads.
The next one was programmatic trading desk RTB-Media, also for the Russian market, also was sold in 2015. Another co-founder of RTB-Media, a friend of mine Daniel Kravtsov founded Improvado company in the US, which closed a seed round for $8M this year. RTB-Media was rebranded into the Impovado company for the US market and reached capitalization over $40M at the moment.
I founded ICOyard after the exit from RTB-Media. ICOyard was the technological platform for launch ICO/STO. However, ICO market fell down and started to die in 2018. I stopped the development of ICOyard and took a pause to think what to do next.
Next project I launched in 2019 was Safe-Investing. Here is why.
At some moment I decided to start investing by myself. I did not have much money for investing, but still decided to find the best way to invest what I had.
If you have $100M you can invest 10 of them in risky high-tech startups. If you have $1M you’ll look for more reliable options.
As a result, I came to real estate. And soon after to commercial real estate as to the most profitable segment of the real estate market.
However, the barrier of entry was too high for me. Then, I started to study crowdfunding options. Real Estate Crowdfunding (RECF) market was around 10 years old at that moment, but still not reached maturity and there was and still is a huge potential to grow before full saturation.
I was studying tons of existing services, invested by myself and realized at some moment — I can do better.
First, all the existing services were focused mostly on the local US market and have nothing to do with investments from other countries, which can be really huge.
Second, most of the services lack fintech solutions. Fee costs are high, transactions are slow and not safe oftenly. We use the benefits of blockchain technology for international settlements.
