Tirupati to Tirumala by Walk
Tirupathi, a famous pilgrimage place in South India. Devotees from all over India and Other Countries visit the place does Tonsure and see the image of a deity The Lord Venkateswara
Darshan, there were three ways one can see the image of Deity The Lord Venkateswara.
- Sarva Dharsan (Free Darshan), 8 Compartments, 10–12 Hrs.
- Special Entry Darshan,(Rs.300), 4–6 Hrs.
- Divya Darshan (Walking Pilgrims), 12 km walk, 4–6 Hrs
Divay Darshan, I was planning for a long time, now the time had come. I reached Tirupathi at 7 am, took an auto reached Alipiri
Sri Lakshmi Narayana Temple, in there, where tickets were issued and I got the ticket, started walking.
I started walking slowly, I love the place, It was well-built steps, for every 100 steps Bathroom facility available, It was so clean and tidy
Mysore Gopuram, walked around 250 steps, still a long way to go.
1000steps, 30 min later I reached 1000 steps, I’m amused by seeing young children walking curiously.
Tired, I’m extremely tired due to traveling. Usual, I left Chennai at 10 pm, on Friday, next day reached Nellore by bus, from there took a bus to Guntur, from there again took a bus to Piduguralla reached at 2 PM, spent around 8Hrs with my friend’s brother marriage function, after took a bus to Tirupathi, then reached next day, Sunday morning around 7 am.
30 min, I slept wherever I love to sleep, I walking with nominal speed by noticing every devotee.
1 hr later, I reached Kaali Gopuram got Darshan timing. Unlucky for me at 8 pm.
I notice the Devotees have Turmeric (Manjal)and KumKum, then marking in every step without any regrets.
Still, 7 km to walk. Devotees used to carry their own food., also have Free Annadhana
Devotee serving food to Deer, It was beautiful, you could see deer are Longing for food.

Family, you could come as a family walk to Tirumala, for sure, it gonna be fantastic moments.
Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy statue. Gone through half of the walking distance, from now on, it gonna road walk.
In between, there are few dispensaries, so devotees get used of it.
In between, there are a lot of restrooms and drinking water facility (Jala Prasadam)
Monkey, you could see a lot of monkeys while walking to Tirumala, this is so stubborn not allowing me to take a pic near to it.
Finally, verified my ticket got sealed, I have gone two processes of verification, one is time stick and the other one is sealed so that devotees could go as Harmony.
Mokalimitta Gopuram, this is final gopuram, I’m crossing it. It was around 3:30 pm, I have taken about 5 hrs to reach there, usually, it would be around 2 hrs, I slept everywhere.
3260 step no, yet 2 km to go. Got boosted up and started walking faster towards the destiny, Tirumala.
There were a lot of shops out there, see this one having a wide variety of Keychains collections
1 km to go. It’s 4 pm, I started at 9 pm, seven hours later I’m going to end my walking. folks, I’m such a lazy person.
Tirumala Darshan, I entered into Divya Darshan queue around 6 pm. They put us in Shed, We’re waiting and having free food (Annadhanam)
One hour later, we’re entered into the place.
- Laddu counter, one free laddu you will get for sure.
- Luggage counter, we need to deposit our mobiles and bags
Four hours later, I got Darshan, saw the image of Deity The Lord Venkateswara.
Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam, whatever we plan for quick darshan, we’re gonna struggle for sure with the devotees.

Tirumala to Tirupathi route was closed between 12 am to 2 am. I was waited around 2 hours, then took a jeep reached Tirupathi, Took an Ultra Deluxe bus to Chennai reached by morning, ended my journey.
