While I absolutely agree with you that this country is to a large extent built on the backs of intellectual and physical efforts of people we choose to classify as “ White Men “ …I also think you missed the point of the article to a large degree.
The author very rightly asks the question WHY we choose to classify people ( Including yourself , multiple times in your response BTW) as “ White and black “ in the first place. She questions the very concept of “ Whiteness “ and does a decent job IMO. Not only that but why does this have to be a zero sum game ? Can you not see how one category has been pitted against the other to the benefit of a clever and devious ruling class ?
I don’t see anything in the article that “ bashes “ white men . On the other hand , it very rightly questions the very idea of calling them “ white men “.
I hope you can appreciate the difference.
