Wait lemme google it !!
In this techno-savvy world an appropriate definition of life would be:
“A google oriented development (GOD) project”! *pun intended
BUT BUT BUT !! This article will not be an appreciative cluster of words for google, on the contrary its more of messing your brain up with all new different kind of possibilities that would have existed in case yahoo would have bought google!!

But before discussing the ideal potentials or the blunders that the tie-up would have possibly made. Lets dig a little into the backstory.
Yahoo’s catastrophe !
Sergey Brin and Larry Page , founder of google and Stanford university students at the time approached yahoo in 1998 , with a motive of selling their page rank system an algo of google for a bare minimum of $1 million but yahoo rejected the offer as it was more concerned with its user spending more time on their platform . Say it fate or what but in-spite the increasing popularity of google ,the duo again approached yahoo, but this time the reason was for funds worth $3million but funnily enough yahoo again misjudged the importance of 3rd party advertising and took a thumbs down approach to the deal. Presently Yahoo sold most of its core business to Verizon for $4.8 billion .

Now coming back to our previous assumption, lets start believing in a present where google was a subset of yahoo!
Superlative user count and database
Yahoo currently had a user count of 800 million users whereas google dominates 65% of world population . And the union of their database and resources would have almost provided us with a ultimate world wide reach .

Metamorphosis of technology
When the two big powers of the technological world would have met and all their ideas and propositions would have amalgamated it would have definitely restructured the present course of tech.

Business and Commerce
Now here comes the difference . The only reason for the diminished picture of yahoo is that it could not continue to market its existence . The reason being lack of adaptability and scarcity of something new also not realising the value of flexibility in norms adds up! On the other hand google who itself claimed its self worth $1million and $3million is presently a company over +$110 billion worth because google sure did understand what the masses wanted.
Services and user interface strategies
Google being the master in the service sector and keeping its user interface one of its top notch features and on the contrary the lack of evolution in Yahoo and not up to date features and a slow gearing approach in general would have hampered the growth of both of the parties .
Synopsis
Time being the witness yahoo never had an experimental approach whereas google was all over the place, trying to explore most of what came along it . So, had our assumption been true , google as a part of yahoo maybe would have not made the exponential growth it presently has! But there’s also a bleak possibility that this scenario maybe would have worked out wonders which is when yahoo totally changed its approach which again had really tiny possibilities .
