Before I jump on to tell about it, let me first tell who am I? 😎

Hi, I am Pradeep Singh, a web developer ( still learning 😄 ), a Computer Science Engineer 💻. Apart from this I write blogs and play cricket. When I am not coding, I listen songs 🎼 mostly of A. R. Rahman and Arijit Singh. Talking about English songs, See You Again by Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth is my all time favorite.

My Childhood

Let’s start from the beginning. I was born and brought up in New Delhi, India in a lower middle class family. From childhood, I was fascinated by the animation of websites. You can’t imagine this accurately unless you’re a ninety’s kid, websites were in initial stage back then. It was like a magical thing for me. I was very excited to know “How the heck, do they do it 😦 ”. I was clueless. But as the time passed, “I slowly started to learn, how the internet works, what are websites and all”. Everything on a Nokia phone (People loved ❤️ Nokia at that time, they still do).

But I did not get any computer until I completed high school. Although the thirst of Web Development never died. I moved slowly by learning one piece at a time.

A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.

I was good in studies, but I never studied to become a topper rather I always wanted to acquire knowledge. The environment was not good, but I was learning how to survive the worst to become the best.

After completing my 10th standard, I went to a school in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi and took science stream (because I am more interested in creating future rather than knowing what happened in the past).

Whichever school, college or group I was a part of, I left an impression on people’s heart.

Let me share one of my sweetest memory of 11th class, some trainee teachers came for their training and evaluation. We also got two female teachers for our chemistry and biology classes. I liked the way, the trainee biology teacher was teaching us, so I tried to make notes and and study more. Soon I became her favorite. Whenever she would ask questions, if no one answered, she would ask me and I always had the answers. After sometime, classmates started to shout my name as soon as she would enter the class. They both stayed for approximately a month and got good reviews from the reviewer. Before leaving the school, she even gave me her number. Before you come to any conclusion, FYI I never called her and now I don’t even have the number 😊

Completing graduation was nearly impossible for me because of economic issues. I saw many ups and down in those four years, was unable to pay a semester’s fees and had 28 arrears at once (I managed to cleared 23 in one semester). Be it the death of a student from high consumption of marijuana, drink and drive accidents or day to day fights, I have seen everything in those four years of college. Anyway I completed my graduation in 2k17 from Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough !!

At present time

In the last one year I have created various projects using different technologies and from the last 3 months, I am enrolled in Google-Udacity FED Nanodegree Challenge Scholarship, where out of 10k students, only 350 will be selected. It’s a tough one and that’s why it’s so interesting.

I have tried my best to put in the maximum time and effort on it.

The best outcomes of this challenge are:

  • Collaborative Projects
I am one of the co-moderator of one of the four projects namely UdaBuddy (a platform for Udacity Students and Alumni). This is the first time, when I am contributing and managing a collaborative project.
  • Git and GitHub
I know about them from a long time, but for these collaborative projects, there was a need to go in more depth.
  • New Friends
Found a lot of new friends from different parts of the country. Can’t mention any particular name, because they all are great and important to me. And this journey will continue after this challenge too.
  • Article on Medium
I know about from sometime now, but I never wrote anything here before, although I always wanted to. Because of this challenge, now here I am, sharing my story, with the world.

Also to include about the two moderators, Akshit Jain and IIP Permana, they both did a great job in helping and managing the slack community. This challenge will clear my path for the journey ahead. Hope for the best ✌️

Before I end this story, a special mention for my mother. I know that all of you love your mother. But it’s a different case for me. The kind of trouble I went through in my life, she was always there for me. Nobody else knows the potential I have better than my mom. Thus she has always tried to help me in whatever way she can.

From selling our house for my graduation to working day and night to pay for my monthly expenses, she has done everything.

Now what Pradeep Singh is, it’s all because of her.

Yes, it’s me ✌️ clicked on a costly camera 🙈

At the end, some fun facts about me :)

  • I am a fan of Marvel, Tony Stark AKA Iron Man is my favorite, my inspiration, everything.
  • I like to play cricket and being an all rounder I do batting as well as bowling. Apart from this, I like to play Clash Royale and COC.
  • I learnt cooking during my graduation days, so I can cook ✌️ as well.

Lastly, I have tried to be as positive as I can, whatever you read about me is completely true.
