You created your first project in Starting a New Project with Cargo; however, as a refresher, here are the steps to follow:
- Open a terminal/command prompt.
- Change the directory to your “Learn Rust” directory. e.g., cd /home/bert/learnrust).
- Use Cargo to make a new “treehouse” project: type cargo new treehouse.
- Launch your favorite text editor/IDE, and load your new project.
You now have a new “Hello, World” program ready for editing. Let’s add some functionality to make it interactive.
