Filling the Gap

Through this communication model I want to show that how communication helps in reducing the communication gap among the people.

Lack of communication or absence of communication can leads to confusion, assumptions, and eventually it can turn to a big misunderstanding among the sender and the receiver.

This model of communication is all about serving the purpose of communication which is very important in any form of communication.

Here, in this model we can see that the

1. Sender sends a message to the receiver which is an important initiative which is required for filling this gap.

2. Message is sent through a medium, which can be any electronic medium or it can be through face to face communication.

3. Receiver takes that message and he also takes the initiative by giving his/her feedback to the sender.

Through this simple process we can ignore many problems like wrong assumptions, misunderstanding, miscommunication unhealthy relation, and other tensions. These are the results of lack of communication.

For example, suppose A and B are friends where both are not talking to each other for some reason. Instead of asking each other about the misunderstandings or reasons, they decide to keep quiet. Now A is assuming that B is a egoistic person but B has a valid reason for not talking to A. Both are thinking and assuming by themselves instead of taking to each other.

This can lead to misunderstandings and confusion which is bad for both of them.

So, to avoid this we always try to communicate with each other personally, rather than assuming or deciding anything.

This model is applicable for interpersonal communication or Mass Communication as well.
