About Nalanda university

Hi Everyone,

Today I am talking about Nalanda university it was the world first international university which established in 5th century at the time of of Gupta emperor era.it was the world first international residential university where all across the world student come and study here so we must fell proud on it because at the time where generally most of the people of world even don’t understand reading and writing at that time our ancestors doing lots of research on various domain like medicine, philosophy, mathematics, language ,science , astrology ,astronomy, yoga…….etc. The word Nalanda comes from the place where Buddhist monk where lived.so we can say that Nalanda was the hub of learning ,education and research in the ancient world in modern day it is located in the city rajgir which is 90 kilometre away from Patna Bihar. At that time Nalanda university was the hub of great scholar of various domain. At that time major text of this university were in Sanskrit so lots of the pilgrims carried these text for the development of the country in modern day also if you read the book of our people president Dr. APJ Abdul kalam he was also inspired by it because in his book he clearly mentioned I was inspired by various ancient text and using that concept in development of missile and rocket for modern India.

Then one day the troops of Bakhtiyar Khilji attacked on it and started destroying it he killed lots of scholar and professor and put fire on library you can estimate how many books was available in library because it burns regularly 6 months but in modern India government started restoring it and now it is a UNESCO world heritage site

At some were I read a statement if you want to destroyed any country then just destroyed the education system of that country then that country automatically get destroyed and that the things happened with India

Then Dr. APJ Abdul kalam become president of India and he passed a bill to rebuilt this university because he believed in the power of education and in various speech he clearly mention if you want to become world’s leader then you must developed university like Nalanda ,Vikram Sila ,Thakshila …etc. and in modern day we can saw the power of institute like it I.e. IISC, IIT , IIM ,JNU….etc. That’s all about Nalanda university.
