Waking up at midnight, staring at the phone, looking in contacts, for a name long gone

Heart skips a beat, mouth gets all dry, breathing not so easy, eyes want to cry

Pillow gets too cold, sheet strangles my soul, body at still feels dead, to feel alive I roll

Scared I get off bed, searching switches for light, mirror breaks me more, I am sick of this night

Sobbing back to sleep, in pillow I bury my face, mind numb eyes shut, but heart beats in race

I wake up better, but shiver for next night, god please help me, I can’t take this fight
