Just another victim

The walls were ringing with laughter,
she stood there crying
They sat to her right, with a pathetic smile
Their faces scarred by their deeds

Never could she imagine a courtroom session,
more humiliating
She pricked herself with a pin
It was clear; It wasn’t a dream

Their lawyer was holding up the evidence
her undergarments
“Did you unhook it or did they unhook it?”
he asked, smirking

Her face turned red, her legs wobbled
“O God, why me?”, she asked
The judge was apathetic, her lawyer indifferent
She became numb
as the walls rang with laughter.
