Unexpectedly, Tom Garrett is a British content creator most recognized for reporting online athletic news. He isn’t just popular for his sports knowledge but also for his mystery box subscription, where customers can purchase boxes containing unknown sports products. Tom co-hosts the famous podcast show under the title “Pitch Side,” alongside Ali Fletcher and Theo Baker.

The phrase “Tom Garrett Video” trended over the past three days. Netizens couldn’t believe the viral video (now deleted) because it portrayed a British internet personality engaging in intimate moments with a stranger.

Initially claiming the video was artificially manipulated, Garrett later admitted its authenticity, describing the individual in the video as “peculiar.”

On February 5th, the 27-year-old addressed the clip on his Pitch Side podcast, humorously stating, “It’s a happening from seven years ago, which clearly doesn’t alter the truth of what happened, happened… Clearly, we were on holiday; it happened, it was a bit of a giggle, and we thought it would be fun… yeah.”

He added, “I can understand many people won’t find it amusing, and they won’t. Do you know? Good for you, but I don’t want that life. We had a great time. We had a fantastic laugh.”

Reflecting on the now-deleted video, Tom Garrett further stated, “I don’t know how the video came out, but it’s there. And you’ve all managed to strengthen it — against my partner’s wishes. So, if anyone’s looking for a holiday buddy this summer, I might be heading to Tenerife. I’ve seen you there.”

Garrett also claimed to have been “partially under the influence” during the incident.

During his podcast, the hosts joked about the video and referred to it as “the coolest moment of 2024.” Moreover, they stated they wouldn’t engage in “online cancel culture.”

Tom Garrett, who claims to possess “an abnormal amount of sporting knowledge,” also addressed the clip on TikTok, jokingly stating, “What happens on holiday should stay on holiday. So, you leave me alone. I think it’s weirder for me that it’s gone viral than for you. It was a mate that needed it, and I’m genuinely a mate.”
