Yesterday, I finished listening to the audio version of “Power of Now” by Eckhart tolle.

It took me more than one and half months to finish listening to this powerful audiobook which presents so many life-changing ideas before us.

The ideas presented in this book have completely changed my inner state and therefore have transformed my life.

Hence, here I present you the best ideas of this book in hope that it can offer you same realizations that I have gone through in the past one and half month.

  1. You alredy have your true-nature/best-self inside you but you can’t feel it because your mind is making too much noise.
  2. All the thing that truly matter beauty, love, creativity, joy, inner peace arise from beyond the mind.
  3. Most important step towards your journey to enlightenment is learning to dis identify from your mind. Every time you create a gap in the stream of mind, the light of your consciousness grows stronger.
  4. You are addicted with thinking because you derive your sense of self from the content and activity of your mind
  5. Love, peace and joy cannot flourish until you have freed yourself from mind dominance.
  6. In the unconscious mind, the pleasure always comes from something outside you.

  9. Mind itself is not dysfunctional, it is a wonderful tool, dysfunction sets in when you see yourself in it and mistake it for who you are. It then becomes the egoic mind and takes over your whole life.
  10. The compulsions of living in time arises because the past gives you an identity and the future holds the promise for salvation. Both are illusions.
  11. In the now, in the absence of time, all your problems dissolve. Suffering needs time, it cannot survive in the now.
  12. Identification with the mind gives it more energy, observation of the mind withdraws energy from it.
  13. All negativity is the accumulation of psychological time and the denial of present moment. All forms of fear are caused by too much future and not enough presence.
  14. Waiting for better future is perfect receipe for permanent dissatisfaction & non fulfillment.
  15. To become conscious of being, you need to reclaim consciousness from the mind. This is one of the most important task on your spiritual journey. A effective way of doing this is simply to take the focus of your attention away from thinking and direct it into your body.
  16. When you focus within and feel the inner body, you immediately become still and present as you are withdrawing consciousness from your mind.
  17. When a situation or condition that the mind has attached itself changes or disappears, the mind cannot accept it. It will therefore cling to the disappearing condition and resist the change.
  18. Learn to offer no resistance to what is, learn to allow the present moment to be, and to accept the impermanent nature of all things and conditions.
  19. To offer no resistance to life is to be in a state of grace, ease and lightness. This state is then no longer depended on things being in a certain way, good or bad.
  20. Acceptance of what is immediately frees you from mind identification and thus reconnects you with being.
