Artificial Intelligence — A threat to social structure and it’s balance
Have you ever wondered, why humans became dominant species of this planet and what is the major advantage in terms of capabilities we have over other species?
It’s the ability to collaborate in larger groups. The human achievements and progress so far wouldn’t have been possible without the social organisations.Every human being is part of one or more social organisations, families, tribes, religions, schools, companies, cities, governments, countries and so on.
Just imagine humans lacking this capability, we would still be foragers and hunter gatherers struggling hard to get the meal of the day.
Naturally, to deal with a system of incredible complexity, we have come up with hierarchy and and social structure which balances the system.

In our social structure, everyone has a defined role to play and they attribute that as the purpose of their life.
Today meritocracy plays a very important role defining people’s economic value. When Artificial Intelligence (AI) takes over, there won’t be good drivers, teachers, engineers, doctors or the average ones. We’ll have a universal AI capability which better than all of us at most of the jobs and millions and billions of clueless people trying to figure out the purpose of their life.
There are solutions like “Universal basic income” being discussed.
But the question is, do all of us want to be equal and stagnant without progress? Can we live with that?
