Thanks for the wonderful response. I really liked reading your article on knowledge creation, it provides a great insight into philosophical interpretation of machine intelligence. Also, I completely agree that we have barely scratched the surface in the world of AI.

The dimensions I mentioned in the article, provide a way for us to think about what is AI. Its true that these seem more process oriented, where we discuss how will we model our machine and what technologies and science will we use. But these dimensions also mention the goal or the kind of AI we hope to create with these processes. Like following the turing approach would give us an AI that replaces all cognitive functions of a human and following the intelligent agent approach would give us a machine that maximizes its chances of achieving a goal in a specific field. I agree that Epistemology is highly beneficial in shaping our thinking about AI. But according to me, it would come after we know what is AI and what kind of AI we are making.

To be more clear, I am suggesting that the dimensions mentioned in my article provide with a universal frame of how and what kinds of AI can exist. After you decide on what is it that you want(maybe a chess playing AI, or a personal bodyguard kind of AI), you can let your path be guided by epistemology.

This is what I think about the 4 dimensions that I mentioned and Epistemology. But I may have missed something, as I don’t have great knowledge in epistemology. Would like to have your thoughts on this.

Thanks again for sharing!
