Excellent write up Sandip. Thoroughly enjoyed it and agree with all of it :)
The user identification is indeed a gap, as is integrating with other services that people already use.
For instance being able to create an appointment or one’s Netflix queue or any number of such services would be quite useful. But they definitely require deterministic “associations”.
This would have 2 distinct problems that need to be resolved. One is the pairing (credentials configurations) issue that needs to be done in the “non-geeky” way that is in keeping with the “spirit” of Echo. And secondly deterministically recognizing users when they want to use these personalized services, as opposed to generic services (e.g. play some music etc.). Its usefulness.
A pretty promising home automation hub nonetheless.
