1.2 Excelsior: Consistently topped the class; Represented school in debating, quizzing, Model United Nations (Awarded Best Delegate), Case-study competition in Dhaka; House Captain, Best All-rounder

Chapter 2: College 101 — learning to Ride

2.1 Alchemist: Organized the annual cultural festival — Alcheringa — for all 4 years, learnt to lead and stay calm through crisis, made friends for life

2.3. The Social Network: Initiated English language classes/Group Discussion workshops for peers; Organized a city-wide Blood Donation drive

2.4 Some Dance, Drama and everything in between: Represented the institute in Debating, Dramatics competitions; RJ for campus Radio

Chapter 3: The Playground — Navigating the Terrain

3.1 The Business Matrix: Joined Flipkart — India’s online e-commerce leader and a global top-5 tech start-up — Handpicked to helm the launch of eBooks; Working on multiple high-impact projects served as a primer for handling product/operations management; Learnt to employ data-analytics to devise robust Business Strategy

3.2 Billion Dollar Baby: Outlined strategy for Flipkart’s first Big Billion Day Sale — led the team through crisis situations to achieve overall targets of $100M; Sharpened negotiation skills navigating demands of multiple stakeholders while restructuring the P&L of Flipkart group companies

3.3 Ticket to Ride: Rapido — India’s largest Bike Taxi Platform — provided platform to work on a problem that affects the masses; Innate drive to build something from scratch — Learnt how to invest in people and develop future leaders

Chapter 4: What lies within — Off-roading

4.1 The Trotter-Nama–Northern Lights expedition to Norway and a solo winter trip to Leh among many others — Navigated extreme weather conditions to experience nature’s pristine beauty


4.2 A Few Good Men: Volunteered with Youth4Seva — taught children English and Mathematics; Collaborated with HR at Flipkart to launch the higher studies support programme

4.3 Atlas Shrugged: Intrigued by world events and political history, especially the evolution of nations and geo-politics post World War II; Enjoy expressing my opinion on current issues through my blog

5.1 The Silicon Valley: Learn from and network with the best techno-preneurs during the Silicon-Valley-Trek

5.2 Band of Brothers: Taking leadership roles at HTC, EVCC and SABC and leveraging my network to help peers find newer opportunities in tech space

5.3 Live Another Day: Participation in Johnson-Follies, leading the Patagonia-trek and exploring Ithaca’s amazing food scene with diverse peers

5.4 The Teacher: Serve as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence mentor to young aspiring entrepreneurs at Cornell, hone leadership skills as a leadership fellow

If this is the true spirit of Johnson, where else would I be?

5.5 Johnson with its multiple experiential programmes and diverse community will equip me with the right skillset and tools to grow Rapido into a world leader
