Would like to disagree here a bit Alex. Not with the ideology/suggestion itself — I think it’s a great advice to us youngsters and the alternative methodology suggested also makes a lot of sense, but with the reason given to justify the argument. That because most good things happen serendipitously why plan so much. What you’re calling serendipitous is basically luck. Some people get lucky! So if some of us realize that usually luck is not on our side, what option do we have? Apart from ‘anticipating every contingency’.
