Well, for most people, working life is about adapting to someone else and their conditions and schedules. I don’t know whether that is ideal or not, but many people who are not in your fortunate situation don’t have that choice. Even if you are self-employed, you may have to adapt to your client’s schedules.

I respect that you try to work under conditions that make you the most productive. But adapting to other people and their rules is a non-technical skill — so it should be easier learnt than coding, sales, financial modelling, or whatever.
