Hey Arlo. Great article! This will certainly be a bigger problem for people who’ve had systems installed by others. For them it could be a really big deal and expensive to strip out and fix.

Now imagine this was an automated heating or cooling system. Or perhaps a connected smoke alarm.

I dread to think what would happen to connected-cars or medical equipment…

What happens if the company turns the service and apps off in the same way? Perhaps the company goes bust. Or gets acquired. Oops.
