This spring I wrote a book about my experiences during admissions at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. At that point, I also need a web page and e-shop for the book. I created the design of the webpage in Adobe InDesign because the book was created in it and I had a lot of experience so far.

Recently I discovered that InDesign has a nice export to ePub format which can be later used as a normal static web page. But now I wanted to create an e-shop for purchasing books and I was thinking could I do it through InDesign? And the answer is yes, all I needed to do was go to Object menu and press Insert HTML. Now I was able to add any HTML markup to my document. So I inserted small JavaScript code for sending orders to Google Spreadsheets via AppScript. Then I exported the document into ePub format and finally I put it online and it’s working! Try it by buying the book at prijimackyumprum.pravdomil.com

PS: I can cancel your order anytime.
