With Google’s 90 days free trial users may explore and test out the many services and resources offered by Google Cloud.

· The credit cannot be used for some premium services and there are other restrictions and exclusions.

· To guarantee fair usage and avoid abuse, there are certain usage restrictions in place during the free trial. These restrictions may change based on the service, but they are often lenient enough to let customers explore and test out various features.

· Users are not required to provide any financial information prior to the free trial. It’s crucial to keep in mind that any additional usage will be charged at usual rates once the $300 credit has been used up or the 90-day term has passed. To prevent unforeseen expenditures, billing notifications should be set up and consumption should be tracked.

· The $300 credit can be used towards any qualified Google Cloud services or resources during the free trial. Activation of the credit results in a 90-day period of validity.

· New clients who have never opened a Google Cloud account before are eligible for the free trial.

· We may test out a variety of Google Cloud services with the $300 credit, including virtual machines (VMs), storage, databases, AI and machine learning, data analytics, networking, and more.

Google Cloud Account Creation –

Two distinct types of identities can be used to create a Google Cloud account —

1. Google Account
2. Organization Account

When provisioning GCP resources, you may do it in above two ways.

There are a few resources that can only be used with Organization accounts, such as Shared VPC and SCC.

If one doesn’t want to set up a Cloud Identity domain or doesn’t have a domain, they can also use their personal ID.

A credit card is all you need. In this article I will demonstrate how to set up a Google personal account in this article to create the GCP free trial account.

Create GCP Free Tier Account with Google Account

To create a Google Cloud Account, follow below steps –

It’s always better to use in-Cognito mode of browser. In incognito mode open below link –

https://cloud.google.com/

Click on free trial

Login with your Gmail account and if you don’t have an account, you can create new.

After login, fill the form and click continue

Select account type

Enter the required details

The next step is to authenticate your credit or debit card and input the security code. then press the Continue button.

Further, it will send you to the payment gateway for the purpose of validating your payment details.

Google will then charge you the minimal amount dependent on your country for the verification of your credit card.

Following successful authentication, you will be taken to the Google Cloud Platform (Console) page –

https://console.cloud.google.com/

I hope you found this to be useful in some way. I’ll be back with some more interesting new Cloud and DevOps articles soon.
