Last week, the PredictEV team presented to over 1000 investors, entrepreneurs, and business leaders at three different California events.
BERKELEY SKYDECK DEMO DAY
Last Wednesday, PredictEV CEO Nathan Shaw and CTO Brian Cohen took the stage at the largest Demo Day in Berkeley SkyDeck’s history. As one of 22 startups in the SkyDeck accelerator’s Fall 2018 cohort, Nate and Brian pitched to over 500 guests, primarily made up of accredited investors. For additional information, check out the coverage at TechCrunch.
“SkyDeck has been foundational to the growth of our company,” said Nate. “In addition to its initial investment, SkyDeck has provided invaluable guidance and connections.”
Following the pitch, Nate and Brian manned the demo booth and fielded questions on PredictEV’s patent-pending blockchain-powered social prediction platform.
UCLA ANDERSON VENTURE ACCELERATOR SHOWCASE
That same Wednesday, down in Los Angeles, PredictEV COO Andrew Sharp pitched to LA-based investors, the UCLA entrepreneurial community, and professors at the UCLA Anderson Venture Accelerator’s Showcase.
“Looking out at the audience I saw leading VCs sitting directly beside our early angel investors and advisors,” Sharp said. “It’s a testament to the Anderson School’s commitment to making LA a first-choice destination for groundbreaking startups.”
BAY AREA EVENING WITH UCLA ENTREPRENEURS
Earlier that week, Nathan and Andrew joined UCLA Chancellor Gene Block, UCLA Anderson Interim Dean Al Osborne, Adam Cheyer (co-founder of Siri), and John Tabis (co-founder of The Bouqs Co.) at San Francisco’s Pacific Union Club to discuss UCLA’s unique startup ecosystem with distinguished alumni and Silicon Valley leaders.
“It was an absolute honor to share billing with Adam and John and soak up the wisdom of their experience as Bruin success stories,” said Andrew.
With the incredibly busy week of presentations and meetings behind them, the PredictEV team is focused on preparing for the mainnet launch of its blockchain technology (announcement coming soon here and on bitcointalk.com) and building interfaces that empower users with in-game prediction offerings.
