Idle moments

Sitting near the window.
Watching green leaves, red champa flowers.
Hearing the cacophony of children playing in the open.
This is real idle time-pass.
I just turn away from the window to do my daily tasks.
And suddenly the heavens open up.
Water showers from the skies above and transform the ordinary into the enchanting.
And I wonder, do I just sit and watch it or continue with my chores?
Do I just revel in the glory of nature’s bounty or give into the pressing urgent tasks?
It is a conflict between pleasure time and necessities. A battle between relaxed and doing.
But in the end, the choice is made. The heart makes it. Idle moments.
