Sketches
Sketching plays a critical role in design. It’s a way of capturing otherwise ineffable ideas, it’s a way of expressing our ideas visually (the core channel in IxD), it’s a way of thinking through design, and it’s a way of communicating our ideas to others (as well as, often, back to ourselves).
In this article, I want to communicate my ideas through sketches.
These sketches are created in my sketchbook which contains a series of single-panel sketches in Part One and a series of multi-panel sketches in Part Two. These sketches have tried to capture the essence of the interface/interaction and maximize clarity, rather than focusing on careful detail. In the single Panel sketch, Each of them is sketched three times using different styles, angles, and techniques. Similarly, others are sketched two times using different styles, angles, and techniques in a multi-panel format. I have used three-panel, four-panel, or six-panel designs to communicate motion, time, interactions, etc.
