Boys will be boys! A very suitable sentence to label some of the United Nations police (which I will henceforth refer to as the UN) working in Bosnia-Herzegovina. This film really exposes the UN’s rottenness in handling a case.

A female police officer from the United States, played by Kathryn Bolkovat, tries to handle the Human Trafficking for Sex case in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Human Trafficking for Sex itself is an illegal practice in which individuals are trafficked across borders through violence, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of exploitation (sexual gain). With very minimal support and pressure from the system, Kathryn Bolkovat remained determined to reveal the irregularities she felt while serving in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Initially she was just an ordinary police officer in the United States, but the UN assigned her to the border area in Bosnia-Herzegovina with the aim of maintaining peace after the war in the 1990s. In fact, Kathryn Bolkovat was assigned to Bosnia-Herzegovina only as a supervisor for refugees affected by war and violence. Unfortunately for the UN, this actually became a boomerang because there was a case of violence that was investigated, the culmination of this case turned out to be Human Trafficking for Sex, which in fact the perpetrators were people who worked at the UN.

Unbelievably, Kathryn Bolkovat turned out to be fighting her friend Fred Murray in this case. Here, Fred Murray is seen as a character who is very devoted to money and women. But in the end, Kathryn Bolkovat’s heroic actions succeeded in solving this case. It started when she brought this case to the media, and stole data at the UN to be interviewed by BBC News.

Kathryn Bolkovat’s well-maintained idealism is a reflection for us to see that wherever and no matter how lucky our work is, we cannot deny honesty and justice. Fighting Human Trafficking for Sex as a well-systemized crime industry is a concrete example of siding with truth. Finally, if the world is not in harmony with you, why don’t you stand up and challenge it?
