This Troy Bilt pressure washer costs among the least of gas-powered models we’ve tested, but you get much for the price. In addition to quick, effective cleaning and very easy handling, this model has auto-choke starting, a built-in soap tank, and an auto trigger safety. We found the washer fairly loud, as with most other gas models, but the 24-foot hose lets you keep it far enough away. One minus is the lack of quick-connect attachments to the wand and pump.

I purchased this pressure washer to pressure wash my deck before staining it. Out of the box, the product was easy to assemble and worked like a champ. After using it, I properly cleaned and stored it in my garage. After six months of storage, I tried to start the washer with no success. After some detailed research, I’ve discovered there is a known problem with this model. I’ve even seen a website setup for a class-action suit. My recommendation is don’t buy this product. Even if Troy-Bilt or Lowe’s honor their warranties, you’ll likely have shipping costs or the pain of going back to the store. You’ve been warned!
Bought one of these on sale and it started once after about 40 pulls. Washed one car and put it away for a couple months. Tried to use it again and it won’t start. Can’t return it now and they sent it for repair even though it is basically new still. If you buy one you will be sorry just like a lot of other reviewers who made the mistake of getting one of these. You’d think they would stop selling these if virtually everyone is having issues with them but I guess it’s a case of get the money and too bad for the customer after the fact. I’m thinking I’ll just spend my money at home depot from now on.
I tried to start the unit today and it would not start. Not getting fuel to the sparkplug. I winterized it last year using the B & S fuel stabilizer, the pump protector injection, everything required in the owners manual. I called Troybilt and they said it was gas related and not covered under warranty….call a repair shop. It is obviously a product design issue. Luckily I used a can of Seafoam in the gas tank and a half can of Seafoam spray directly in the carb and it opened it up and seems to run fine now. No more Troybilt products with B & S engines.
