These are great ideas. I’m just appalled at the pushback from newsroom types, however. How did such supposedly open-minded people get into journalism? Where’s the learning spirit? I am brainstorming how we can employ metro and other section editors “en masse” as entrepreneurs in this area and would appreciate any ideas or thoughts you have. One of my ideas is to somehow re-adapt the old “maestro” concept in attempting to redefine how reporters work a story. I’d be open to speaking with or meeting with anyone from your organization when I visit Chicago in July. Thanks for any feedback!
