Stellar for non-profits organization

Following this amazing StellarBattle sponsored this time by Lumenthropy, here are my submission for this task.

Task: What nonprofit organizations would you like to see officially accept Stellar lumen donations?

  1. Lawyers without borders (Quebec/Canada) 1161107207

I chose this one because everybody should have access to a lawyer in case of his human rights possibly violated.

2. Centraide (Quebec/Canada) 1142651299

I chose this one because they help break poverty and social exclusion, which are two main issues in large cities especially Montreal.

We raise money and invest it locally to break the cycle of poverty and social exclusion. We support a network of dynamic agencies and projects that bring people together. We invest according to each territory’s needs with the goal of improving quality of life. In Greater Montreal, one out of seven people receives support from an agency in Centraide’s network.

3. Fondation CHU Sainte-Justine (Quebec/Canada) 1143595701

I chose this one because it helps children who won’t have enough money or support to get rid of horrible diseases.

Guided by the love of children, generosity, the family, excellence, leadership and ethics, the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation’s mission is to engage the community and support the CHU Sainte-Justine in its pursuit of excellence and its commitment to providing children and mothers with one of the highest levels of health care in the world, now and in the future.

Since November 14, 2014, the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation has been accredited by the Imagine Canada Standards program, a distinction awarded to charitable organizations that are recognized for their best practices, good governance and the transparency of their activities. T

4. International Bureau for Children’s Rights (Quebec/Canada) 1141703356

I chose this one because it helps improving children future, which is not always a main consideration into politics.

The IBCR team promote children’s rights across the Americas, the Middle East and Asia. The team also includes coordinators and volunteers who work in the field with the Bureau’s local partners.

Since its creation, the IBCR has carried out mandates in nearly 45 countries and shared its expertise with more than 50,000 people to help them better protect the rights of thousands of children.

Goal: Build a world in which the full rights of the child are respected
Values: Responsibility, collaboration and respect
Operating procedures: Ensure all operations are adapted to local contexts and needs; integrate local knowledge; promote child participation; create a lasting impact

5. Doctors without Borders (Canada) 1144475457

I chose this one because it helps everybody to have access to a doctor, during war, natural disaster, etc… and many countries don’t have the medical infrastructures.

Our medical teams act fast to save people’s lives in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics. We go where we are needed most.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is a Nobel Prize-winning emergency humanitarian medical organization that has helped tens of millions of people since its founding in 1971.
