I travel and things change. In east Europe airbnb worked great a couple years ago. This year, almost all hosts can be found on both airbnb and booking.com and perhaps other sites as well. Booking has taken over completely. If you ask the hosts, booking works better then the competition, although they may charge more (15%). Many hosts proudly display their booking ratings boith inside and outside the house. Airbnb is too cumbersome and takes too long to book and get . Made me wonder if this is happening elsewhere too?
No need picking on airbnb, they only are/were exploiting the trend and opportunities offered. The real problem is that it is too east to borrow money I think. That is driving this crazy economy. We need to have ‘normal’ interest rates and for the feds around the world to stop printing money like they do.
