Enjoy Art, Dance, Theatre and Music

Ipswich is a town that has all these performance arts happening at the same time. If you are a lover of music then you will not be disappointed as there are several performances and shows that take place every week. If you are travelling during the summer you are in luck as there are summer courses where you can join to learn some of the music you heard. Maybe it is art, theatre or dancing that you prefer, and whichever one it is there is always something happening in Ipswich with regard to these four subjects and you will never be disappointed.

Go sightseeing

The town is an absolutely breathtaking location. During the winter season, the surrounding becomes something which is more of a description by an author of a winter wonderland in the town or a painting which has been done by an artist paying attention to every single detail. The view is absolutely stunning. Even though the winter makes the town absolutely breathtaking, you cannot enjoy the town during this time. It is best to visit during summer so that you can go sightseeing and enjoy the view of nature in its true glory. If you are staying at an Ipswich hotel, you are able to request the staff of the hotel to arrange a guided tour for you. There are not many important locations to go visit including several buildings with historical importance and other stunning locations you can visit while sightseeing.

Learn about the culture, history and traditions

Away from London Ipswich museum holds the most number of Constable and Gainsborough paintings and drawings which is a must-visit when in Ipswich. You can take a trip along the town on foot which will expose you to a lot more about the town than when you take a ride on a bus or a vehicle. You will get to see the warm greetings of the people, admire the smells of the warm and delicious food that is being cooked and also look at the stunning architecture from many years ago. Regular walks take place from May to September, some of which are arranged by tour guides so you are able to learn the importance or significance of different locations as you pass by then. The statue of ‘Grandma’ is one of the main attractions in the city. It is made based on a cartoon character created by Ronald Carl Gates.

Enjoy the delightful food

Oaks Aspire Apartments are located around some of the best restaurants in Ipswich. The food at the restaurants is absolutely delightful as they do not serve the same old food that you can find everywhere else. They have traditional food they make for breakfast, lunch and dinner and it is only at pubs that you can find the basic meals. Ipswich is known at the foodie’s county as there are so many delightful things one can taste. The food includes cheese, wine, meat, chocolates and other food.

Go shopping

Shopping in Ipswich is a calm and peaceful activity. Unlike many other locations where shoppers fight to try and get the best on their hands, you will find quite the opposite in this old town. Most of the shoppers are foreigners, as there are delightful little souvenirs sourced and made in Ipswich. Around some of the independent shops there are small eateries where you can grab a snack while shopping.
