Pro 01: Creativity Unleashed
As in interior designer you can truly unleash your creativity, transforming spaces into works of art. You have the chance to do what you love and showcase signature designs that will be appreciated by a great many (hopefully!).

Pro 02: Career Development
Those who have gained recognised qualifications like an interior design degree in Sri Lanka offered by reputed names like the Academy of Design (AOD), can look forward to developing their career. You could specialise in interior designs for offices, hotels or restaurants, become a visual merchandiser or a retail designer too.

Con 01: Problematic Clients
If you are a self-employed interior designer, you will sometimes get that “impossible” client who will be picky and have unrealistic demands. A good amount of tact, patience and subtle persuasion are needed to deal with them!

Con 02: Battling Stress
Again, this is something most people face though as an interior designer you will probably have to put in long hours especially when you’re starting out. Dealing with clients and deadlines, while coming up with new ideas is no easy task and will require a good deal of self-belief too.

Final Thoughts
While the cons are pretty common for most jobs, the pros of becoming an interior designer do offer a chance to find fulfilment if you truly love this line of work.
