#DEEP_SERIES DAY1, ENJOY.

On the shores of our republic I laid,
watching as little kids played.
Their joy as clear as the water they befriended,
soon to be taken by people they never offended.

On the beach of our nation,
lay the brink of annihilation.
The northern wave was stronger then ever;
The southern storm laid in preparation.

Bodies unclad,
like the ideologies of our divers.
Integrity washed ashore;
as the cowry shells I hold.

Offshore were debts and impositions,
foreign diplomats and oppositions;
Our bridges collapsed,
along the borders of Niger and Benue.
