In a world where most take Elon’s word as gospel, I very much embrace your thoughts and criticism. Let’s face it, just because Elon is insanely smart and has inspired business leaders and world-leading engineers to help him turn industries on their head, we should still take the time and question his logic and motivation. Why? Because that’s what he’s taught us to do. That’s how he built SpaceX and Tesla in the first place.

I’m a massive Musk fan and have a vast appreciation for his efforts. Nonetheless, he has flaws and any engineer knows its important of embracing and welcoming intellectual challenges. Trying to break his logic is the right thing to do, because it ultimately will lead him to innovate faster, better, and allow us to the opportunity to be a part of that process and take ownership of our future.

What I don’t understand is blatant dismissal of his ideas and concepts. He doesn’t need to prove himself anymore. When he throws an idea in the room we should be smart enough to listen first. Then we go break it down to see if he’s on to something. We shouldn’t take anything he says at face-value but we should embrace his gift for vision and execution, share his excitement for a better future, and work with him to make it come true.

Unfortunately, in the age of Elon being a rockstar, some writers and journalists have found that shitting on him and his efforts does an exceptional job at getting people to read their content. This article feels very much like that. Hopefully that wasn’t your intent. All-out dismissal just to stir the pot doesn’t do us any good but I do urge you to keep criticizing his efforts constructively and offer alternative solutions so we can grow and learn from one another.
