If you are using an HP Envy 4520 printer or 4500 series printer and it does not print in color with your Windows 10, there are three possible reasons behind this problem. Please verify all of these reasons before proceeding with troubleshooting your HP Envy 4520 printer.

HP Envy 4520 not printing in color?

The printhead was not cleaned properly: —

If you are using your HP Envy 4520 printer for a long time and you have not cleaned the printhead, the HP 4520 will not print in color. It is recommended to clean the print head manually with the help of a tissue or you can use the HP utility available on the HP Envy printer itself. That will fix the problem once and for all.

The color printing function is not enabled: — Sometimes it happens that when you try to print a color document it comes out in black and white. This is due to the color function of the HP Envy 4520 printer. If the color function is disabled in the printer properties, the Envy 4520 will not print in color. Therefore, enable the color printing function in the HP printer properties to start printing in color. Hopefully this will fix the problem.

Driver conflicts: — If you have previously used any HP printers on the same computer or installed more than two printers, there may be a driver conflict. To resolve this issue, uninstall the HP 4520 drivers completely and reinstall them from the HP website.
