Broken Crayons colour

Life has taught us many lessons,
Some we keep to ourselves and few we share indeed,
What it seems on the surface is never within,
Sanity paves way for hues of shades to emerge,

Not many can understand, broken crayons still color.
Break a heart, rejoice and dance you may,
Not far from yesterday, we stand shattered by the loss of our loved ones,
A Smile — mistaken for happiness, not all is well as yet in this world,

An act of love from within, not superficial given unconditional.
Not many can understand, broken crayons still color.
The lessons a pandemic taught, people never seem to realise,
The verses of our holy books stand testimony to times,

Read them all to assimilate and ponder what is life after all?
What did ye bring that thou shall take whilst gone ?
What is thou purpose amidst all these tribulations?
It’s only these acts of kindness and love that stays,

Not many can understand, broken crayons still color.
Good deeds of people are taken for granted by all,
The world sees change as a constant,
Many Irregularities and insecurities so instant,

The never ending losses during these days have changed us.
Many have changed, few evolving, some content,
Goes to say yes, broken crayons still color.
Look around to see those beautiful broken crayons,

Many throw their broken crayons,
Few put it aside their broken crayons,
Some don’t even want to touch their broken crayons,
Let Sunshine brighten the shades of the broken crayons,
Let all understand that broken crayons can still color.
