The Last Letter

Their eyes met for the last time,
Unable to unlock each other’s sight.
Filled with guilt she bid a bye,
Brimmed with love he winked a sigh.
Their silence prevailed,
Voicing out each other’s heart,
Loud enough to heal their scars,
Unmasking all the love they spared.
Guarded by the cupid afar,
Their exchanged glances,
Turned grief to joy,
Making sure miracles dawn.
Last letter to her indeed he thought,
But life rejuvenated listening to her heart.
Skipping a beat he hugged her hard,
Seeing her kneel down to win his hand.
